Keep your business on track with these simple questions

Hey folks and welcome back to another VLOG.

Thought I’d share something today you’ll find super helpful.

Twice a year I take some time out to review my progress both in my business and personally. This usually involves a trip to my much-loved vintage café in town and includes my favourite Darjeeling tea and a slice of lemon drizzle cake! Whilst I indulge myself, I ask myself a series of thought-provoking questions to assess where I’m at in relation to my overall life goals. I then use these answers to help me create my goals and action plan going forward. It’s a very enlightening process!

The fact is, things evolve and change as you move throughout the year and it’s so important to get head OUT of the daily running of our business and focusing on the bigger picture! Because if you don’t, it’s so easy to get off track.

So today I’m sharing the 11 simple questions I asked myself. Why not ask yourself the same questions and maybe treat yourself to some tea and cake at the same time!

  1. What problem do I solve for my clients?
  2. Who is my absolute ideal client?
  3. Who can’t I help?
  4. What results am I helping my clients achieve?
  5. What are my talents and skills?
  6. How do I best help my clients?
  7. What do my clients not understand or overlook in their business?
  8. What gets me out of bed in the morning?
  9. What are my business goals for the rest of this year?
  10. What are my personal goals for the rest of this year?
  11. How can I help myself & my business to grow?

Just in case you’re curious, I have listed the answers to my questions so you can see some examples to help you complete yours.

  1. What problem do I solve for my clients?

. Help my clients get their business messaging and marketing clear so they can attract more clients, become the go-to expert and reach their first £100k.

  1. Who is my absolute ideal client?

. People who want to provide a service – coaches/experts/consultants/

. People that want to turn their expertise into a service that helps to change lives.

. People that want to build a life-style business that offers them MORE freedom and income.

. Big thinkers with big hearts who want to make a real difference in the world.

  1. Who can’t I help?

. E-commerce businesses

. Networking marketing businesses

  1. What results am I helping my clients achieve?

. Position themselves in the market place as the go to expert.

. Get their marketing message super clear.

. Define their niche and target market.

. To become the go-to expert in their field.

. Attract paying clients!

. Create a lifestyle business that really supports them and their family.

. Earn their first £100k.

  1. What are my talents and skills?

. As an author I am a master with words and copy.

. I am good at making complicated things simple.

. I am brilliant at finding solutions to problems.

. I get results! A real action taker ; )

  1. How do I best help my clients?

. Help create a clear plan of action.

. Create a super strong brand.

. To create a value funnel and get clear on pricing/packaging.

. Create structure and accountability.

. Learn how to have a sales conversation with ease.

. Believe in themselves!

. Get real results in their business.

. Create a solid marketing strategy.

. Reach their first £100k.

  1. What do my clients not understand or overlook in their business?

. That they can’t grow a business on fresh air – you have to invest to grow!

. That they have to educate themselves around sales and marketing if they want to attract clients and succeed in business.

. That they need a marketing plan!

. That they have to embrace technology.

. That you have to outsource so you can stay in your gift zone and grow!

. That success is an inside job – you have to work on your mindset at the same time as working on your business.

  1. What gets me out of bed in the morning?

. That I get to help the next generation of game-changers make their mark on the planet!

  1. What are my business goals for the rest of this year?

. Balance and consistency.

. To work with 3/4 new clients a month, approx. 40 a year.

. Finish 3rd book.

  1. What are my personal goals for the rest of this year?

. Travel to Canada with the kids.

. Secure the kids future by investing in more stocks and shares.

. Buy a holiday home in the UK.

  1. How can I help myself & my business to grow?

. Hire a new mentor and join a mastermind of like-minded people.

. Read a book a month.

. Take regular technology breaks.
